The outset of this assignment was to design a book layout, drawing inspiration from Gutenberg and early illuminated manuscripts through French designers of the late 15th and 16th centuries. Because my publishing house is a tribute to the beatnik generation, I felt that And The Hippos Were Boiled In Their Tanks
